【Chemical Nature】
Copolymer of phenol sulfonic acid and chrome sulfate.
【Properties】
Shenotan JN is an anionic softening retanning agent containing chrome. It has excellent lightfastness. It has been observed that the results are consistent if JN retanning agent applied to different wet blue at retanning stage. Leathers retanned with JN retanning agent obtains a soft handle with brilliant, intense shades, because it accelerates dyestuff and fatliquor to combine with fibres. It also gives a satisfied softness and special smooth grain. It is used to retan suede leather to obtain a very fine nap with smooth, silk glossy touch, JN retanning agent is resistant to electrolytes, which has high stability and mild astringency. It used as pretanning agent. It distributes the chrome uniform ly into the leather due to its mild astringency.
JN retanning agent is particularly recommended for chrome-tanned wet white production. It is important that it improves the physical properties, obtains good softness and dyeing.

【Application】
In generally shenotan JN is applied before neutralization, with dosase of 2.0~5.0% based on shaved weight.
It can be applied at pretanning stage after pickling with dosase of 1.0~2.0%, based on pelt weight. It is advisable to add Shenotan JN with other tanning agents in chrome-tanned wet white, with dosase of 2.0~6.0%, based on pelt weight.
【Transportation and Storage】
Shenotan JN is categorized as non-DG cargo, can be transported and stored normally. It has a shelf life of at least one year if they are stored in their tightly sealed original packaging at temperatures between 8℃ and 40℃. Drums should be tightly resealed each time material is taken from them, and their contents should be used up as soon as possible after they are opened.
